Park
The Spa Park in Busko-Zdrój was established in the first half of the 19th century and has accompanied the spa since its inception. Founded by Ignacy Hanusz, the oldest part of the park was later expanded and now has a total area of more than 24 hectares. The originally designed greenery lying in the immediate vicinity of the "Marconi" Sanatorium forms the so-called English garden with varied undergrowth, interspersed with winding, chaotic paths, among which the only regular element is the so-called Avenue of Dreams, leading to the park gate by a wide line of French garden.
The historic part of the park is dominated by deciduous trees (80%). The remaining groups are deciduous shrubs, coniferous trees and coniferous shrubs, respectively. The new part of the park, put into operation in 2007, also has a similar tree stand structure, with the most numerous being various species of linden, sycamore, chestnut, maple, robinia, hazel, birch, hawthorn, alder, ash, larch or oak.
The park environment provides favorable conditions for relaxation and, as patients confirm, has a positive effect on the healing and rehabilitation process.
